On  July 10th 2011 NBRMAS hosted a Tomboy competition and we held our own Vintage competition.  The Tomboy model was a Vic Smeed design that has been adopted in two sizes, a 36” span and  48” span.  The motors of preference were small 0.75 or 1.3 diesels.  The club’s own Vintage event was for models designed before 1975 and where appropriate, motors to match.  That is to say, electric was not the power of choice. Small glow or diesel engines predominated.
